For some reason, online pharmacies are being seized one by one by the government. One example of a recently seized domain is the store Ourmeds.org, which is an online pharmacy selling both generic and brand name medical products. Although there was no clear reason why the government shut down OurMeds, the message on its domain clearly states that the store’s domain was sequestered by the government due to its alleged proscribed activities. The offenses stated by the US Customs –ICE/Homeland Security Department involved the store’s attested sale of fake medications and its intentional copyright infringement activities. According to the message, the store was shut down pursuant to a warrant issued by some local US court. The repercussions aired on the government message on Ourmeds.org were scary, as the notice mentioned millions of dollars in fines and more than a decade of prison for its owners.
I checked if there were existing accounts for Ourmeds on the web and indeed, the store had its screenshots saved on one internet archive since 2010. This does not mean that the store was incepted in 2010—the store may have been founded earlier than the earliest files for Ourmeds.org. I checked the shop for its details, but although there was salvaged information for Ourmeds, the shop did not mention anything about its date of founding and where it operated from. The shop’s president, Dr. Jack Poppins, merely spoke about its desire for improving patient access to cheaper medications.
The product offerings on Our Meds included medications for skin care, cancer, supplements, diabetes, general health products, pet medicines, and other clinical concerns. The store offered its bestsellers on the main page, such as Yaz, Antabuse, Ventolin, Atrovent, and several others. The prices of these products appeared cheap, as the best-selling products on Ourmeds.org were sold for less than a dollar on the average.
Like any other online pharmacy, Our Meds also offered medications for male impotence such as the iconic Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. Concerning their prices, Ourmeds.org offered generic Viagra starting $1.85, generic Cialis starting $1.75, and generic Levitra starting $2.50. These medications were bought by the clients even without presenting their prescriptions. This was one of the perks that Our Meds clients had, so buyers were able to procure the following products without being asked for the Rx.
Since there were restrictions to the data which can be evaluated for Ourmeds.org, I failed to determine the shipping fees charged by Ourmeds.org to its clients. However, judging from the logos posted on the store, the shop appeared to use EMS, FedEx, UPS, USPS, and Canadian Post for its shipping duties. Payments accepted by the store included E-checks, VISA, and AMEX credit cards. The cases of lost orders or damaged items were not discussed on Our Meds, but the store allowed buyers to claim their refunds as long as they were able to return the items to the store.
As with any online store, I endeavored to look for reviews pertaining to Ourmeds.org and its service, since reviews reflect the kind of service online stores have during the past years. I was ecstatic to have located one buyer review for the store, but to my dismay, the testimonial was a bad one.
Phil aired his complaint on Trustpilot.com and gave the shop only one star out of five. According to Phil, he ordered his medication on Ourmeds.org but he was charged more than his order amount. He also ranted about the store being unable to give him any email confirmation for his order. Phil recounted reaching to customer support but to no avail. Because of these, Phil decided to request for cancellation of his order and also a refund of his money. However, there was no update from Phil if his refund request was granted or not.
Ourmeds.org Reviews 2016
Besides the 2014 complaint about the store’s faulty service, there were no other mentions for the shop for the current year. However, the store had on-site comments I was able to refer to, but since the comments did not have dates in them, I was unsure concerning the time frame these testimonials were posted.
The buyer testimonials available on Ourmeds.org were given by clients to specific products available on the store. For instance, one David Totters (and IT Specialist from Canada) reviewed the products Cialis and Viagra Powerpack. According to him, the product was effective and the store of Our Meds was convenient to shop from. However, despite the accolades the store received from these alleged reviews, these comments were only found on the store, which takes away the reliability of these testimonials.
Since I cannot trust the comments available on Ourmeds.org, I used Scam Adviser to discover more details for the shop. Ourmeds.org gave a score of 44/100 to Our Meds and the shop was given a “suspicious” label due to its background as a rogue internet store and its connections with reports of malware and suspicious websites.
Ourmeds.org Coupon Codes
I checked if the shop Ourmeds.org had coupon codes ready for its clients. There were no coupons and voucher codes accessible for the clients of the former site, but the store appeared to offer something for its clients instead.
According to the retrieved data for Ourmeds.org, the shop offered free sample pills for every order made in the shop.
